AC Flatness Functional T est (optional)

Description

This procedur e ver ifies the AC flatness char acter istics of the digitizer. AC
Flatn ess is an optional test because it is a typical char acteristic that is
n ot war r anted. The AC Flatness was adjusted when the in str ument was
manufactur ed and is n ot n or mally adjusted again. However, an FAQ on
the Agilent web addr esses this issue:
select Technical Support > FAQs. The AC flatn ess is specified r elative to
the AC r espon se at 1 kHz.
The AC flatn ess test procedur e consists of measurin g both 1 kHz and
1 MHz input signals on selected ran ges and comparing their relative
values. The test sign als ar e generated by a calibr ation st andard. The
input signals ar e measur ed by the digitizer using the On Board
Measur ement capability to calculate the RMS value of the input signals,
an d the measured signal amplitudes at the two frequency points ar e
compar ed to each other.
