The procedur es in this chapter use the LAN Web Inter face. The same
gener al procedur es can be adapted to use either of the other methods
described above.

Calibration String
The digitizer allows you to stor e a message str in g in calibration memor y.
For example, you can store such in for mation as the date when the last
calibr ation was per for med, the date when the next calibration is due, the
digitizer 's serial n umber, or even the name and phone n umber of the
per son to cont act for a n ew calibration. The calibr ation message may
con tain up to 40 character s.
You can r ecord a calibration message only when the digitizer is
unsecur ed and at the end of the calibration process when new
calibration constants ar e bein g written to n on - volatile memor y. You can
r ead the calibr ation message whether the digitizer is secur ed or
unsecur ed.
