The digitizer s accur acy specification s ar e expr essed in the for m:
( % of r eadin g + % of r ange ). In addition to the r eadin g er ror an d r ange er ror,
you may need to add additional er ror s for cer tain oper ating conditions. Make
sur e you apply the con dition s as descr ibed in the footnotes on the specification
pages.
Understanding the " % of reading " Error The r eading er ror compen sates for
inaccur acies that ar e depen dent upon the input sign al level. The r eading er ror
var ies accordin g to the input level on the selected r an ge. This er ror is expr essed
in percen t of r eading. The following table shows the r eading er ror applied to the
digitizer s

Understanding the " % of range " Error The r ange er ror compensates for
inaccur acies that r esult from the r ange you select. The r an ge er ror contr ibutes a
constan t er ror, expr essed as a percen t of r ange, in depen dent of the input sign al

T emperature Coefficients

Accur acy is usually specified at the calibr ation temper ature 23 C 5 C
temper atur e r an ge. This is a common temperatur e r an ge for many
oper ating en vironmen ts. You must add additional temper ature coefficient
er ror s to the accur acy specification if you are oper ating the digitizer
