Replacing an Analog (Input) Board

The an alog board (L4532A) or boards (L4534A) can be removed with all
other in terior assemblies in place, an d without removing the r ear pan el.
To r emove the analog board:

To r einstall an an alog board, r ever se these steps.
N OT E
Take car e to seat the BNC conn ector s (with O- r ings) in the r ear panel
and engage the conn ector to the digital board secur ely; then r ein stall the
six screws an d secure the BNCs with the nuts and ser r ated grommets.

Remove all cables from the exter ior of the in str umen t, and remove the
cover (see
Removing the Cover
Remove the two 14 mm nuts (with ser r ated met al grommets) from the
analog board's BNC conn ector s.
Remove the six # 10 Tor x roun d head screws holdin g the analog board
to r iser s on the chassis and digital board.
Gr asp the an alog board by the edges, avoidin g touching electrical
compon en ts or tr aces on the boar d. Car efully pull up, disen gagin g the
connector on the backside of t he board (below thick black and white
bar dr awn on the photo) from its mating con nector on the digit al
board. Slide the board toward the fron t pan el so that the BNC
connector s (with r ubber O- r in gs) clear, and lift out.

Remove the O-rings from the old analog channel board and transfer them to the
new analog board. The O-rings are installed on the BNC connectors such that the
O-rings will be inside the instrument rear panel.
