8.2.3 Using Create Average

From a data file, you can load the measurement Setup properties used to
create the data file into the Active setup.
Before you begin:
Save your current Active settings to a new Setup file, if needed.
Settings in the Active setup will be lost.
Stop any measurement currently running or paused.
Step 1
On the 831C, go to Tools

Create Average takes a saved data file and adds its average as an instance to
the unsaved Overall measurement.
CAUTION

You can add multiple files to the average. Each appears as a new
instance in the Overall measurement pages. However, each file can
only be added once.
A measurement can run after the averages are loaded. But this isn't
recommended for averaging purposes.
After data files are averaged, you can save the new data as a single
file.
Follow these steps to create an average of your data file(s):
