13.2 Setting Up the Meter's Network ID

13.2.1 Setting a Static IP Address

Step 2
Connect the assembly as shown in Figure 13-1.
Access and configure your meter's networking properties—the network
password, IP address, and MAC address as shown in the following sections.
Your meter communicates more efficiently with other devices when you set a
static IP address instead of using a dynamically- assigned IP address.
Step 1
On your meter, go to Tools
shown in Figure 13-1.
Step 2
Select Set Static IP.

Plug in to an Ethernet port
in a wall jack or in another
supported device.

NOTE
Ethernet connections
consume a high amount of
power. We recommended
that you also connect the
meter to an external power
source (or by USB) while
connected.
