Upgrading Software, Firmware, and
Options
I
n addition to meter operation, the G4 LD Utility (G4) is also used to install
firmware and option upgrades as shown in the following processes.
Step 1
Locate the G4 installer on the LD USB Drive included with your meter, or from
www.LarsonDavis.com/G4.
Step 2
Double-click to download the G4 installer.
Step 3
Once the file is downloaded, unzip or extract the folder to your Desktop.
Step 4
Open the new folder and run setup.exe.
Step 5
Follow the on screen instructions to install the upgrade.
Step 6
To launch G4, use the shortcut the installer created on your Desktop, or
select G4 from the Start Menu.
Before you begin:
• Power on your meter, and connect it to your PC via the USB cable
(CBL138, part of the PSA029 power supply) or via TCP/IP. For more
information about connecting your meter, see Module 13 831C
