3.3.2 Using the 831C File Storage Calculator

SoundAdvisor Model 831C
After a measurement ends, the meter system properties displays a dialog
where you can choose to store the measurement or cancel.
Store
After a measurement ends, the meter system properties automatically store
the data file.
Step 3
Select one of the following options from the Data Storage drop-down menu:
Internal
The 831c has 1.8 GB of internal memory. When the available internal memory
reaches 10 MB, the 831C stops automatically. If the remaining unsaved data is
less than 800 kB, press Stop/Store 7 to save it. Before you begin another
measurement, download all internal data to an external drive or PC by using
the Data File Manager or G4 LD Utility.
USB
With this option, data files saved manually (and by the meter's auto-store
preference) save to the inserted USB drive. If there's no USB drive available,
the USB not available icon
save to the 831C internal memory.
USB Backup
With this option, data files save to both the 831C internal memory and the
inserted USB drive as a backup copy. If the internal memory becomes full,
data files save to the USB drive.
Step 4
Click OK to confirm a meter reset, if needed, then click Close to save your
changes.
