FETCh Subsystem

Programming The Type C Function Card 4-24
Artisan Technology Group - Quality Instrumentation ... Guaranteed | (888) 88-SOURCE | www.artisantg.com
The FETCh subsystem has the function of retrieving the results
of a measurement or an array of measurements. If a
measurement or an array of measurements has not been
completed, the 2461 TYPE C will delay the read until the
measurement(s) have completed.
The default value of <count> is the number of measurements
specified by the last CONFigure or MEASure? commands. The
default value of <start> is 1. The default value for <step> is 1.
The number of values returned is <count>. The first of the
values returned is value <start>. Then every <step> values after
start are returned.
The maximum number of measurement samples that can be
retrieved by the FETCh? command is 700. If more
measurements have been taken, the FETCh? command is to be
sent more than once (every time specifying a different value for
the <start> parameter).
If the range of requested values is beyond the number of
measurements, an error will be generated and no values
returned.
The FETCh? query is rejected with an error if the data is invalid.
Data becomes invalid in the following conditions:
• When *RST is executed
• When an INITiate is executed
• When there is any reconfiguration of measurement function,
signal routing or trigger blocks
See FETCh command summary on the next page.
