The 2461 Type C is a microprocessor controlled instrument
offering high-resolution measurement capabilities. The
instrument is designed to be used under the direction of the Slot
0 System Resource Manager of a VXIbus compatible
mainframe. The instrument conforms to VXIbus System
Specification Revision 1.4.
The standard unit uses the VXI 'CLOCK10' as its reference.
However, the user can choose between two optional internal
reference standards, a TCXO and an OCXO. The unit can also
be configured to accept an external 10 MHz frequency
reference connected to the front panel.
The 2461 Type C is designed to be controlled via the VXIbus.
No local control of the counter is possible. The command set
for the 2461 Type C is defined in Chapter 4 of this manual.
