The following measurement functions are available in the 2461
Type C:
Frequency Input 1
Measures the frequency of the signal applied to Input 1.
Frequency Input 2
Measures the frequency of the signal applied to Input 2.
Period Input 1
Measures the period of the signal applied to Input 1.
Period Input 2
Measures the period of the signal applied to Input 2.
Time Interval Input 1 to Input 2
Measures the time interval between an event at Input 1
(START) and an event at Input 2 (STOP).
It is possible to delay the arming of the STOP circuit; this
feature may prevent premature triggering of the STOP
circuit due to external noise (e.g. contact bounce from a
switch generating the START event).
Time Interval Input 2 to Input 1
Measures the time interval between an event at Input 2
(START) and an event at Input 1 (STOP).
It is possible to delay the arming of the STOP circuit; this
feature may prevent premature triggering of the STOP
circuit due to external noise (e.g. contact bounce from a
switch generating the START event).
Totalize Input 1 by Input 2
Displays the sum total of events occurring at Input 1 during
the interval between START and STOP events at Input 2.
The action is as follows:
INPUT 2 Slope
POSITIVE
NEGATIVE
It is possible to delay the arming of the STOP circuit; this
feature may prevent premature triggering of the STOP
circuit due to external noise (e.g. contact bounce from a
switch generating the START event).
