After installing the function card, put on the front panel. This is
done in the reverse order from taking it apart. Install it by replacing
the eight screws for the front panel. Then replace the cover using
the four screws for the front, one for the middle, and one for the
rear.
Alterations to the label- due to modifications performed by the user
(retrofitting new function cards or altering the configuration, for
example) – will be the responsibility of the user. To update the
configuration label on the 2461 the users should mark any
changes in performance due to upgrades, e.g. peak and dynamic
currents, etc. on the label found on the side panel on the module.
This information is required if a unit is returned to an approved
service center for repair. Should a module be returned to a service
center for function cards to be installed, the service center will
update the label.
If the function cards are factory installed by Racal Instruments, Inc.
A specific label will be produced for the particular configuration.
