BEFORE TROUBLE SHOOTING THE ENGINE

CAUTION
e
DO NOT clean the fuel pump filter by scraping
with any type instrument as this may damage
the
screen, allowing foreign particles to pass
through the fuel pump and into the carburetor.
If
allowed to pass through the carburetor, the
foreign
matter or dirt may cause engine
damage. If the screened filter or gasket is
damaged, replacement is necessary.
5.
After
cleaning
or
replacing
the screened
filter,
install the
gasket, screened filter,
and
fuel
pump
bowl.
Secure components to fuel
pump
with
a
screw
and
lockwasher,
using
a
screwdriver, Fig.
"-12.
