5. Keeping the stationary sheave fixed, rotate
the moveable sheave clockwise until all
clearance is taken up, Fig. V-5. Scribe another
line on the moveable sheave, using a tri-square
and scribe, Fig. V-5.
6. Measure distance between the two scribe
marks, Fig. V-5, using a caliper or scale.

7. If distance between the two scribed lines is
less than 5/32-inch (0.156), the maximum
allowable drive clutch bearing wear is within
tolerance. Drive clutch is acceptable.
8. If distance between the two scribed lines is
more than 5/32-inch (0.156), the maximum
allowable drive clutch bearing wear is not
within tolerance. Drive clutch moveable
sheave and cover housing needs to be
replaced.
