Testing Devices with TO-220 Packaging
It is possible to test devices with TO-220 packaging on a TO-247-3 DUT Module.
These devices are smaller than the TO-247 packages however. Figure 18 below
shows two such devices. The device leads were spread in order to fit them in the
TO-247-spaced sockets on the test module. A small amount of solder may need
to be added to the test leads for a more reliable connection.

Figure 18 shows two devices with TO-220 packaging. For these
two devices, the Drain and Source leads were switched. Small
pieces of Kapton (polyimide) tape was added for isolation. Kapton
tape is stable over a wide temperature range.
