Installing and Using External Inductors

Beginning with software version 2020-820

use the standard, internal inductor (internal to the PD1500A Test Fixture) or an

external, custom inductor. If you choose to use an external inductor, refer to the

PD1500A Control Software Guide for instructions on setting the Inductor Value in

the Software User Interface.

Refer to Using an External Inductor with the PD1500A Double-Pulse Test System

for detailed information on designing or selecting, and installing an external

inductor on the PD100A Test Fixture DUT module.

1 PD1000A Control Software version 2020-820 and later requires the PD1500A Test Fixture to have Firmware

version A.01.03. Contact your local Keysight Sales and Service Office to update the firmware.

Automatic switching between normal double pulse test and reverse

recovery test is not be possible with an external inductor. When

using an external inductor, the internal inductor must be

disconnected.
