Connect Probes to the Double-Pulse Test Modules

Refer to Figure 13 below. Oscilloscope probes connect to the Test Fixture
Modules as follows:

The oscilloscope channels and colors shown above are only
recommendations; you may choose different channels. All
examples and screen captures shown in the DPT documentation
use this configuration. The colors on the PD1000A Control
Software screen match the DSOS104 Oscilloscope probe channel
number colors: i.e., Channel 1/I

Do not exceed the maximum input voltage rating on the oscilloscope.
The maximum input voltage for the 50 W input impedance setting is ±5 V.
The maximum input voltage for the 1 Minput impedance setting is 30 V

Probing technology allows for testing of higher voltages; the
N2873A 10:1 probe supports 300 V
transient over voltage allowed.
When measuring voltage over 30 V, use a 10:1 probe.
All Oscilloscope probes must have the common mode chokes
installed on the probe cables. Refer to Chapter 4 in the PD1500A
System Installation Guide for detailed information.
– The DUT Module uses the following oscilloscope probes:
-- BNC to SMA cable from the Coaxial Shunt Resistor (I
PD1000-60002 Oscilloscope Protection Probe.
-- 10076A High Voltage, 100:1 Probe to the V
– The Low Side Gate Driver Module has two oscilloscope probe connections
(see Figure 13 below):
-- N2873A 10:1 Probe connects to the V
-- N2819A Differential Probe connects to the I
– Optionally, if the Clamp Circuit Test Module is used:
-- Do not install the N2819A Differential Probe on the I
terminals of the Low Side Gate Driver Module.
