DUT Test Module for Si/SiC T0-247-3 and -4 Devices
Install Two Transistors on the TO-247-3 and -4 DUT Modules
IMPORTANT: When inserting devices into the module sockets, make
certain they are pushed all the way down into the sockets. Lead
length of devices not pushed all the way into the sockets can add
parasitic inductance and may affect measurements.
IMPORTANT: Verify orientation of devices as you insert them into the
sockets. Some devices, especially TO-220 style devices, have a
different pin orientation.
It is possible to use a TO-220 device in the test module. You must
spread the device pins apart so that they will fit in the wider
spacing of the TO-247 sockets. You may need to add solder to the
pins so that they make good contact in the sockets.
Avoid bending any of the pins on the DUT PC Module. Carefully
align all of the pins with the connector before installing the PCB.
It is possible to use a diode as the High-Side device instead of an
identical FET or IGBT. Use a Silicon Carbide Schottky diode with
adequate Voltage and Current ratings for your test.
