Incoming Inspection for Double-Pulse Test Fixture and Modules
After unpacking the DPT Test Fixture and modules, carefully inspect them for any
shipping damage. Report any damage to the shipping agent immediately, as
such damage is not covered by the warranty.
Preparation for Use
The DPT Test Fixture and modules connect the device to be tested (DUT) to the
DPT system.
Static-safe Handling Procedures
Electrostatic discharge (ESD) can
damage or destroy electronic
components. Use a static-safe work
station to perform at work on electronic
assemblies. This figure shows a
static-safe work station using two types
of ESD protection:
- Conductive table-mat and wrist-strap
- Conductive floor-mat and heel-strap
Both types, when used together, provide
a significant level of ESD protection. Of
the two, only the table-mat and wrist-strap combination provides adequate ESD
protection when used alone. To ensure user safety, the static-safe accessories
must provide at least 1 M of isolation from ground.

electricity. Take care if you are using ESD sensitive devices in its
vicinity.
