Optimal Gate Resistor Value

As described above, increasing the gate resistor value reduces the ringing but
also reduces switching speed and therefore increases switching loss. This is
because the gate resistor value and gate voltage restrict the gate charge current.
Reducing the gate resistor value increases switching speed at the expense of
increased ringing.
Figure 31 and Figure 32 illustrate how di/dt and dv/dt change with different
values of Gate resistors.
