3.10.7 Precautions for link disconnection event logs collected at OS startup

Depending on the settings, the link disconnection event logs shown in the table below may
be collected at the OS startup. These link state event logs are collected by the initialization
processing for the LAN driver at the OS startup, which does not cause any adverse effect
on the system operation.

* Display of the link target name may differ depending on the installed LAN adapter.
The said collecting action for the link state event logs can be suppressed by changing the
LAN adapter settings according to the steps below. Be noted, however, that this setting
change also suppresses the collecting action for the link connection/disconnection event
logs during the system operation and hence would make it difficult to analyze relevant
failures.
1. Do steps 1 through 4 in Subsection 3.10.3, "How to set up link speed and duplex
mode".
2. Click Advanced tab, select Log Link State Event in Settings list box (illustrated
below), click Value drop-down list, and change selection to Disabled.
3. When done, click OK button.
