9. RAID1
7. After a while (approximately 10 seconds), the HDD status lamp corresponding to the
drive bay number to which the new HDD is attached starts blinking, and the RAID1
rebuilding process automatically starts. The rebuilding process for a 160 GB HDD takes
about 70 minutes (under light-load condition).
Note: In the event that the rebuilding process does not start about a minute after
attaching the HDD case loaded with the new HDD, detach the HDD case and retry from
Step 4. If the rebuilding process still does not start, the HDD or the Equipment may be
broken. Consult your distributor or maintenance personnel.
8. Completion of the rebuilding process turns off the HDD status lamp corresponding to the
new HDD, and restores the RAID1 system. In the "Hardware status" window, click
Refresh button and ensure that the RAID status for the drive bay number to which the
new HDD is attached shows "Healthy".
