7. In the center pane, right-click WinSAT and select Disable from the drop-down menu.

After you disable the Windows Experience Index by the procedure above, the Windows
Experience Index may remain stopped or unable to run at device driver update or
hardware configuration change. Because these situations may disable optimum operation
of Windows® and hence degrade the performance of the Equipment, manually start the
Windows Experience Index according to the procedure below.
1. Click Start and click Control Panel.
2. In the "Control Panel" window, click System and Security.
3. In the "System and Security" window navigated from the "Control Panel" window,
click Check the Windows Experience Index.
4. In the bottom right of the "Rate and improve your computer's performance" window
navigated from the "System and Security" window, click Rate this computer button
(for the first time) or Re-run the assessment button (for the second time and on).
5. If the "User Account Control" dialog box opens, click Yes button to continue.
