• If you forgot to perform backup restoration preparation and specify an HDD that has
never been used on the Equipment (a new HDD, for example) for the HDD where the
backup data is restored, the HDD does not have RAID1 configuration information and
you cannot use it as a part of software RAID1 even if you restore the backup data there.
• The backup restoration preparation function configures the HDDs so that the direction of
the rebuild is from the HDD in the drive bay 1 to the HDD in the drive bay 2. Make sure
you copy the backup data to the HDD in the drive bay 1 for restoration.
• If you restore from backup data under the offline situation, the HDD is accessed without
the software RAID1 device driver, and data mismatch between the HDDs in the drive bay
1 and 2 is inevitable. Because of this, do not forget to rebuild RAID1 after you restored
backup data so that both HDDs in the drive bay 1 and 2 have the same data.
