4.5 Setup of BIOS

The BIOS stores the system configuration information in the SPI-ROM. When the system
configuration is changed, the BIOS settings may have to be changed.
Note: The BIOS is optimally set to match the system configuration at shipping. Pay special
attention when you change the BIOS settings because the change may result in
unstable operation or failure of system initialization. If you are not sure how to set up
the BIOS at system configuration change, contact our customer engineer.
(1) Starting setup menu
In order to set up the BIOS, start the setup menu by the following action:
Press the POWER switch (see Section 2.1, "External Views of Operator Access Areas").
When the system initialization message is displayed, press the F2 key.
(2) Setup menu operation
The keys in the table below are mainly used to operate the setup menu.

(3) Setup menu configuration
The setup menu is mainly configured by the following items.
Main:
Advanced: Used to set the items that depend on the individual system configuration
Power:
Boot:
Exit:
Used to terminate the setup operation or to return the display from a low-order menu
to a high-order menu.
Used to select a menu or a menu group displayed at the top of the screen.
Used to select an item or an individual item in each menu group.
Used to select a setting value. The value that can be set for a selected item is
switched by operating these keys.
Used to select a setting value. When there are only two setting conditions, this key
switches the conditions as if using a toggle switch.
When setting a date and time, this key is used to move between items (e.g., months 
day, hours  minutes).
Used to switch the display from a high-order menu to a low-order menu or to
terminate the setup operation (data saving in SPI-ROM).
Displayed when the menu is started, and is used to set the basic items of
the system such as date or time.
(e.g., setting of interrupt ports and I/O addresses).
Used to set the automatic power-off function at abnormality detection and
the operation mode at power on.
Used to set the boot device priority.
Used to save the changed configuration information into SPI-ROM or to
restore it to the default setting.
