Software and data system
MassLynx software, version 4.1, controls the mass spectrometer, and the OpenLynx

TargetLynx
application managers are included as standard software.
Note:
OpenLynx is not supported on IVD systems.
MassLynx software acquires, analyzes, manages, and distributes mass spectrometry, ultraviolet
(UV), evaporative light scattering, and analog data. It enables these major operations:

Configuring the system
•
Creating LC and MS/MS methods that define operating parameters for a run
•
Using IntelliStart software to automatically tune and mass calibrate the mass spectrometer
•
Running samples
•
Monitoring the run
•
Acquiring data
•
Processing data
•
Reviewing data

1.1.3
Instrument Console software
You use the Instrument Console, a software application, to configure settings, monitor
performance, run diagnostic tests, and maintain the system and its modules. The Instrument
Console functions independently of MassLynx software. As such, it does not recognize or control
MassLynx data systems. Consult the Instrument Console system's online Help for details.
