Turbocharger to:
Oil return line to:
Oil supply pipe to turbocharger
•
1) Coat with high-temperature paste; refer to ⇒ Parts
catalogue.
1.4 Removing and installing intermediate
flange
Removing
–
Remove starter catalytic converter
–
Remove turbocharger
–
Unscrew bolts -arrows- and detach intermediate flange
with connecting pipe for exhaust gas recirculation.
Installing
Installation is carried out in the reverse order; note the follow-
ing:

Renew seals and gaskets.

Tighten bolts securing intermediate pipe to intermediate
flange as follows:
1. Tighten with torque wrench initially to 10 Nm.
2. Tighten with torque wrench to 30 Nm.
3. Turn 90° ( 1 / turn) further using a rigid wrench.

Install turbocharger
–
Install starter catalytic converter

Intermediate pipe to intermediate flange
•
1) Renew bolts.
•
2) 90° = one quarter turn.
•
3) Coat with high-temperature paste; refer to ⇒ Parts
catalogue.
