Fit sump (top section) and tighten bolts -1 ... 4- in diagonal
sequence initially to 5 Nm.
–
Tighten bolts -1 ... 4- in diagonal sequence.
Remaining installation steps are carried out in reverse se-
quence; note the following:
–
Install oil pump ⇒ page
–
Install sump (bottom section)
–
Install sealing flange (front)
–
Install chain for oil pump and balance shaft
–
Install timing chain covers
–
Bolt gearbox to engine
–
Fill up with engine oil and check oil level
Tightening torques
Component
Sump (top section) to cylinder block
Oil pipe to: Sump (top section)
Cylinder block
