Clamp Pressure Adjustment

The clamp pressure affects the cutting accu-
racy. Too much pressure can cause marks on
the sheets and change the color of pressure -
sensitive paper. Adjust the pressure depend-
ing on the number of sheets, weight, and type
of printing.
Turn ON the power switch and
key switch.
Press the
button.
The procedure for the clamp pressure
adjustment is shown on the screen.
Press both cutting buttons at once.
Just the clamp will lower and stop at the lower limit.
Keep pressing both cutting but-
tons and read the clamp pressure
indicator.
Read the value on the scale. If the cutting
buttons are released, the indicator will return
to "0." In that case, press the cutting buttons
to raise the clamp. Then, press both cutting
buttons again.
CAUTION
Do not leave the clamp low-
ered (pressure ON) for a long
time. The temperature of the
oil will rise and may shorten
the life of the hydraulic unit.
Adjust the clamp pressure.
- Turn the adjusting knob for the clamp pressure.
- If the knob is turned clockwise, the pressure
increases.
- The setting is adjustable within the range from 4.9
to 16.6 kN (or 1,100 to 3,300 lb).
Do not set the pressure less than 4.9 kN (1,100 lb).
Press both cutting buttons at once.
The clamp will return.
Repeat steps
adjust the pressure.
