3.3.6 Operating the VTSA... valve terminal with reversible pressure regu
lating valves
Festo P.BE−VTSA−44−EN en 0905e
Right end plate type VABE−...−R−...:
Port (14) is sealed with a blanking plug at the factory.
The pilot air supply is branched internally from duct (1).
In order to guarantee the resetting of the reversible
2x3/2−way valves via the pneumatic spring, port (12)
must be supplied with operating pressure (see Appendix
B, Tab. B/4 for the v alve circuit diagrams).
Right end plate type VABE−...RZ−...:
The external pilot air must be supplied via ports (12) and
(14) with the same level of pressure.
Note
Operating the VTSA... valve terminal with reversible pressure
regulating valves (identifier R5−..., R6−..., R7−...):
Reversible pressure regulating valves must not be used on
reversibly operated valve terminals.
No 2x3/2−way valves with identifier T32C−A, T32H−A,
T32U−A (non−reversible valves) or 2/2−way valves with
identifier T22C−A and T22CV−A may be operated with
these pressure regulating valves. These valves require
excess pressure in duct (1) for the pneumatic springs.
The combination of reversible 2x3/2−way valves (iden−
tifier T32F−A, T32N−A, T32W−A) on reversible pressure
regulating valves (identifier R5) need not be operated in
a separate pressure zone. The reversible pressure regu
lating valves supply pressure via duct (1) and vent the
exhaust air via ducts (3) and (5).
