Replacing valve terminal components

5.3.1 Replacing valves or cover plates

Dismounting
Festo P.BE−VTSA−44−EN en 0905e
Components on the manifold sub−bases of the VTSA... valve
terminal can easily be replaced for maintenance and conver
sion work.
Note
Depending on the manifold block, the VTSA... valve ter
minal supports the control of one or two solenoid coils per
valve position.
Manifold sub−base type VABV−...−T1 supports control of
one solenoid coil per valve position and is marked by the
red solenoid coil contact housing. There is a black dot on
the type plate of the manifold sub−base.
Manifold sub−base type VABV−...−T2 supports the control
of two solenoid coils per valve position and is distin
guished by the black solenoid coil contact housing.
Proceed as follows:
Use a screwdriver with a narrow blade to loosen the
·
mounting screws and remove the components from the
manifold sub−base (see fig.).
