1. Overview of components
Reversible AB pressure
regulating valve (ident
ifiers R5−...−6 and R5−...−10)
Festo P.BE−VTSA−44−EN en 0905e
Restrictions:
The exhaust flow is restricted by the pressure regulating
valve.
The pressure regulating valve cannot be set in the ex
haust state, e.g. the pressure regulating valve for duct (4)
cannot be set if the valve pressurises in switch position
from duct (1) to duct (2) and exhausts from duct (4) to
duct (5).
Application examples:
If two different working pressures are required at ports
(2) and (4) instead of the operating pressure of the valve
terminal.
If it is not possible to use the reversible pressure regulat
ing valve, e.g. when 2x2/2−way valves or 2x3/2−way
valves with ducted solenoid exhaust (82/84) or when a
flow control plate is used.
Mode of operation:
Supply process:
With the reversible pressure regulating valve, the air
(duct (1)) is split and routed directly to both pressure
regulating valves. In each case the regulated air is present
in ducts (3) and (5) on the valve. The valve is therefore
operated reversibly (see fig.). This means:
Duct (3) routes the working pressure to port (2)
Duct (5) routes the working pressure to port (4).
Exhaust process:
Venting occurs in the valve from duct (4) or duct (2) to duct
(1) and in the intermediate plate to duct (5) in the intermedi
ate plate or duct (3) or the manifold sub−base.
