6.23 Replacing cables

Replacing cable L7 or L8/L108*

(in cable track 2)

Switch the unit ON.
Move the slide downward to a pleasant working position using the
UP/DOWN keys on the Easypad.
Switch the unit OFF again.
Remove the covers (see section 1.13):
– Arm
Remove the two cross braces and the cover plate of board DX1.
Pull fiber-optic cable L7 and cable L8/L108* off board DX1.
CAUTION
Immediately after pulling off the cables, wrap the detent of connector X303
(cable L8/L108*) with adhesive tape to protect it against breaking off.
Switch the unit ON.
Move the slide upward using the UP/DOWN keys on the Easypad.
Switch the unit OFF again.
Remove the covers (see section 1.13):
– Intermediate piece
– Profile covers (top and bottom)

NOTE
Tip: While loosening the screws, press the top profile cover down towards the
unit and allow it to slide down once the screws are loose.
If the height adjustment motor is inoperative, you can also move the slide man-
ually.
Remove board DX32 (see section 6.2.3).
