7.2 Cleaning the Print Head and Platen Roller

7.2.1
Cleaning Intervals
Clean the product at the following regular intervals.
• After you print one media roll or print media for 150 meters (492.1 feet).
Use the cleaning kit to clean these parts:
• Print head
• Media sensors
• After you print six media rolls or print media for 900 meters (2952.8 feet).
Use the cleaning sheet to clean these parts:
• Print head
Use the cleaning kit to clean these parts:
• Media guide
• Media route
Note
The above cleaning intervals are only for reference. Clean the product when necessary even if you are not at
a regular interval.
7.2.2
Cleaning Using the Cleaning Kit
The cleaning procedure using the cleaning kit is as follows:
CAUTION
Never use organic solvents, such as thinner and benzene to clean the product.
Note
The cleaning kit is optional. Contact your SATO reseller or technical support center to purchase the options.
For details on the cleaning kit, refer to the manual attached to the cleaning kit.

Make sure that the product is in power off
mode, then disconnect the power cord
from the AC outlet.

Open the top cover.
CAUTION
Open the top cover fully to prevent accidental drop of
the cover.
