GENERAL ENGINE PROCEDURES

CLUTCH COVER REMOVAL / INSTALLATION

Gearbox lever removal/installation

Removal:
- Loosen the screw (1) then remove the lever (2).
Installation:
- Fit the lever (2) and tighten the screw to torque (1).

Clutch cover removal

- Remove the lever (1) as described in the relevant paragraph.
- Remove the screws (2), the screws (3) and cover (4) with relative sealing
ring.
- Check the sealing ring condition and replace as necessary.

- Tighten the screws at recommended torque in a crosswise sense and refit

Remove the left engine crankcase cover

- Remove the lever (1) as described in the relevant paragraph.
- Remove the water pump supply pipe (2).
– Loosen the three screws (3);
- Remove the screw (4) and the washers(5).
- Remove the screws (6) paying attention to the gaskets (7).
- Release the oil piping (8) and remove the crankcase cover (9).

When refitting mount the screws (1) on the top part of the cover (4)
and screws (3) on the bottom part.
Check gasket condition when refitting and replace if necessary.
