If the chain becomes badly worn or is adjusted incorrectly (i.e., it is too loose or too tight), it could jump out of the sprocket or break.

Before making any change and afterwards, if the adjustment is not satisfactory, always start from the standard suspension setting and increase or decrease the adjusting clicks, one at a time.

Turn the water pump impeller until the transmission sprocket mates correctly. Tighten the screws (1) replacing the sealing ring (2). Check that the broaching of the clutch disengagement shaft mates properly with the clutch centre pin.

Install the cover (2), being careful with the washer (3) (arrow) and bushing (4). Install the screws (1) of the engine casing cover, right side, tightening to torque in a cross pattern.

    GENERAL ENGINE PROCEDURES TR 650 TERRA 2013 - TR 650 STRADA 2013 Flywheel and starter motor idle gear removal - Remove the right crankcase and fix the engine at the top dead centre, as described in the relevant paragraphs. - Heat the flywheel hub (1) to a temperature of approx. 100°C. Unscrew the nut (2) and washer (3). - Remove the flywheel together with the freewheel (4) using a suitable puller. H11535 H11536 Removal/installation of the freewheel from/on the flywheel - Heat the freewheel to about 120°C.

Disassemble the clutch housing (14), paying attention to the needle roller bearings (15) and to the washer (16). H11554 Installation: Lubricate the needle roller bearings (15) with engine oil.
