Installing the MX2020 Air Filters

The MX2020 router has three air filters: a lower air filter, middle card cage cable manager air filter, and a
Power Supply Module (PSM) air filter. These filters are included in the MX2020 filter kit
(MX2020-FLTR-KIT-S). If the MX2020 has 240 V China power supplies installed, you'll need a different
PSM air filter (MX2000-FLTR-PWR) than the one included in the MX2020 filter kit.
Use these procedures to install the air filters.
To install the lower air filter:
1. Attach an electrostatic discharge (ESD) grounding strap to your bare wrist, and connect the strap to
one of the ESD points on the chassis.
2. Ensure that the air filter is right side up.
3. Open the fan tray and air filter access door, located at the bottom of the chassis.
