New features of the LOGO! 0BA7 device series
The following features are new for the LOGO! 0BA7 devices:
● New LOGO! Base Modules with an Ethernet interface and SD card slot
● Support of network communications
● Use of Ethernet for LOGO! 0BA7 ↔ PC communication
● SD card support
Note
LOGO! 0BA7 only supports SD cards with a maximum memory capacity of 8 GB and a
maximum data transfer speed of 48Mbits/s or 6MB/s (Class 6).

● Ability to transfer I/O status information from a LOGO! 0BA7 to PC

Two new LOGO! versions LOGO! 12/24RCE and LOGO! 230RCE, each with an RJ45
socket for Ethernet connection and an SD card slot, are commercially available.
LOGO! 0BA7 supports SIMATIC S7 communication across 10/100 Mbit/s TCP/IP
Ethernet. A LOGO! 0BA7 can establish a maximum of eight S7 communication
connections with other SIMATIC devices across Ethernet. Those SIMATIC devices
include 0BA7 devices, SIMATIC S7 PLCs with Ethernet capability, and a SIMATIC HMI
that supports Ethernet communication with networked S7 PLCs. Additionally, a LOGO!
0BA7 can support a maximum of one Ethernet connection with a PC with LOGO!Soft
Comfort V7.0 installed.
Communication between a LOGO! 0BA7 and a PC takes place only on an Ethernet
network.
LOGO! 0BA7 supports standard SD (Secure Digital) cards that support FAT12, FAT16, or
FAT32 file system format. You can store and copy-protect a circuit program, with or
without the data log of process data, from a LOGO! 0BA7 to an SD card, or copy a circuit
program from the card to a LOGO! 0BA7.
LOGO! 0BA7 provides you with two new main menu commands respectively for network
communication configuration and error diagnostics. Additionally, LOGO! 0BA7 provides a
new menu command for configuration of the LOGO! start screen.
LOGO! 0BA7 supports transfer of I/O status data to the connected PC. You can view the
I/O status information from LOGO!Soft Comfort. LOGO!Soft Comfort can save the I/O
status information to a .CSV file on your PC.
