6.10.1 Network Connection

There are two methods to establish a local area network (LAN) connection with the
R&S NGL200 for remote control operation.

2. Set the required "SCPI Raw Port" and "Hostname".
The R&S NGL200 displays the on-screen keypad to enter the port number and
hostname.
When the connection is alive, the network icon is highlighted in white on the device sta-
tus bar information.
6.10.1.1

LAN Connection

The R&S NGL200 is equipped with a network interface and can be connected to an
Ethernet LAN (local area network). A LAN connection is necessary for remote control
of the instrument, and for access from a computer using a web browser.
Risk of network failure
Before connecting the instrument to the network or configuring the network, consult
your network administrator. Errors may affect the entire network.

"SCPI Raw Port": A port number used to open a raw TCP/IP connection to
send raw SCPI commands to the instrument
