P0108-MAP SENSOR VOLTS TOO HIGH —
TEST

Turn the ignition off.
Disconnect the MAP Sensor harness connector.
Turn the ignition on.
Measure the voltage of the MAP Sensor Signal Circuit at the MAP Sensor harness
connector.
Is the voltage above 5.5 volts?
Yes → Repair the MAP Sensor Signal circuit shorted to battery voltage.
→ Go To 4
No

Turn the ignition off.
Disconnect the MAP Sensor harness connector.
Measure the resistance of the MAP Sensor Signal circuit to 5-volt Supply Circuit at
the MAP sensor harness connector.
Is the resistance below 5.0 ohms?
Yes → Repair MAP Sensor Signal Circuit shorted to 5-volt Supply
→ Go To 5
No
5
Turn the ignition off.
Disconnect the MAP Sensor harness connector.
Disconnect the PCM harness connector.
Measure the resistance of the Sensor Ground Circuit between the MAP sensor
harness connector and the PCM harness connector.
Is the resistance below 5.0 ohms?
Yes → Go To 6
→ Repair the open MAP Sensor Ground Circuit.
No

Turn the ignition off.
Disconnect the PCM harness connector.
Disconnect the MAP Sensor harness connector.
Measure the MAP Sensor Signal circuit for resistance between the PCM harness
connector and the MAP Sensor harness connector.
Is the resistance below 5.0 ohms?
Yes → Go To 7
→ Repair the MAP Sensor Signal circuit for an open.
No

If there are no possible causes remaining, view repair.
Repair

Turn the ignition off.
Using the wiring diagram as a guide, inspect the MAP Sensor wiring and connectors.
Were any problems found?
Yes → Repair as necessary.
→ Go To 9
No
ACTION
Perform POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST VER - 5.
Circuit.
Perform POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST VER - 5.
Perform POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST VER - 5.
Perform POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST VER - 5.
Replace the PCM.
Perform POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST VER - 5.
Perform POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST VER - 5.
