NOTE: If the TCM is being replaced with a NEW or
replacement unit, the Quick Learn AND Pinion Fac-
tor procedures must be performed. Refer to Service
Procedures for proper procedures.

(1) Disconnect battery negative cable.
(2) Raise vehicle on hoist.
(3) Remove left front wheel/tire assembly (Fig. 97).

(4) Remove wheel house splash shield.
(5) Remove TCM 60-way connector.
(6) Remove three TCM bracket-to-body mounting
screws (Fig. 98).
(7) Remove TCM from bracket (Fig. 98).
