nut at the power steering pump to a torque of 68
N·m (50 ft. lbs.).
(10) Install the four bolts fastening the A/C com-
pressor to the engine (Fig. 4). Tighten the mounting
bolts to a torque of 28 N·m (250 in. lbs.).
(11) Install the A/C compressor electrical connec-
tors (Fig. 4).
(12) Install the A/C drive belt. Refer to the Cooling
section for the procedure.
(13) Install the drive-belt splash shield and fasten-
ers (Fig. 3).
(14) Install the screws fastening the front fascia to
the reinforcement (Fig. 3).
(15) Install the right front tire and wheel assem-
bly. Install and tighten the wheel mounting nuts to a
torque of 135 N·m (100 ft. lbs.).
(16) Lower the vehicle.
(17) Remove the bungee cord and move the cooling
module back into is lower mounts.
(18) If previously removed, install the right side
bolts securing the lower radiator closure panel in
front of the cooling module.
(19) Install the radiator closure panel and fasten it
in place (Fig. 9).
(20) Install the ambient temperature sensor on the
radiator closure panel (Fig. 8).
(21) Install the hood-opening weather-strip across
the radiator closure panel.
(22) Install the grille on the front of the vehicle
(Fig. 7).
(23) Perform the POWER STEERING PUMP INI-
TIAL OPERATION service procedure which can be
found in the POWER STEERING PUMP section of
this group to properly fill and bleed the power steer-
ing system.
(24) Check for leaks.
POWER STEERING FLUID RESERVOIR
REMOVAL
(1) Remove the filler cap from remote power steer-
ing fluid reservoir (Fig. 14).
(2) Siphon as much fluid as possible from the fluid
reservoir.
(3) Remove the clamp attaching the supply hose to
the power steering fluid reservoir (Fig. 14). Remove
the hose from the reservoir.
(4) Remove the clamp attaching the return hose to
the power steering fluid reservoir (Fig. 14). Remove
the hose from the reservoir.
(5) Pull outward on the retaining tab and remove
the reservoir from its bracket (Fig. 15).

INSTALLATION
(1) Install the power steering fluid reservoir into
the bracket. Push it down into the bracket until the
retaining tab locks it in position (Fig. 15).
NOTE: The reservoir must lock securely into posi-
tion. If it is loose in the bracket, reset the locking
tab on the mounting bracket.
(2) Install the fluid supply hose onto the power
steering fluid reservoir fitting (Fig. 14).
(3) Slide the hose clamp on the fluid supply hose
up into position on the fluid reservoir and install it.
Be sure hose clamp in installed past bead on fluid
reservoir fitting.
