3-3. GTX-4 Service Tool
GTX-4 Service Tool is a dedicated program for service personnel not provided to customers.
GTX-4 Service Tool incorporates the following functions:
Re-adjustment of the GTX-4 Series main unit to enable the operation of replacement parts after parts
Clock setting for the GTX-4 Series.
Examining the log files acquired from the GTX-4 Series.
For details on the adjustment after parts exchange, refer to "6-1. Parts exchange".

3-3-1. Points to be noted in using the GTX-4 Service Tool
The PC needs to be installed with applicable printer drivers in order to use the GTX-4 Service Tool.
Service personnel are recommended to copy the GTX-4 Service Tool onto an USB memory for use of the
software. GTX-4 Service Tool is capable of booting up the system directly from USB memories,
CompactFlash memories and other "write-enabled removable media".
If the software is to be carried in CD-R or DVD-R, the GTX-4 Service Tool must be copied onto the hard drive
of the PC running the program. If GTX-4 Service Tool is copied for use on customer PCs, be sure to delete the
program from the customer PCs after use. Please refrain from leaving the GTX-4 Service Tool software
installed within customer PCs, or provide the software to customers for their use. GTX-4 Service Tool should
not be provided to customers as the software may have undesirable influences on the operation and printing
quality of GTX-4 Series printers if used inappropriately.
The screen display of the GTX-4 Service Tool is always indicated in English regardless of the language
selected during the installation of the printer driver. (However, the software indicates Japanese messages
within the Japanese version of Windows.)
3-3-2. Demonstration mode
By adding the character string "Demo" as a prefix to the executable filename of GTX-4 Service Tool, the program is
activated in "Off-line Demonstration Mode" allowing for the confirmation of the functionality and specification of the
Filename used for the Demonstration mode
