Ink pouch wind-up stops when ink level lowers (to middle or near)

Possible Cause
Is foreign matter caught on the tip of the ink level detection
plate?
Has the ink level detection plate spring come off the ink
level detection plate?
Is the wound-up ink pouch dragged against the cartridge
cap?
Corrective Action
Remove the foreign matter.
Install the ink level detection plate spring to the ink level
detection plate with reference to "6-1-34. Disassembly /
Assembly of ink cartridge". If the ink level detection plate
spring is missing, replace the cartridge.
The ink pouch wound-up portion is thickened due to ink
flowing into it. Open the lid and rewind the ink pouch.
