3-1-5-3. Exhaust cleaning

Air is flushed from the ink channel and head.
(1) Select [Exhaust Cleaning] from the advanced menu and press
Select channel for executing the exhaust cleaning and press
(2)

3-1-5-4. White tube cleaning

Item is used in case the ink discharge does not improve.
For details, refer to "4-1-2. White head cleaning".

3-1-5-5. Color tube cleaning

<IMPORTANT>

Do not re-use used maintenance solution pouch for other colors. Correct color may not be restored upon re-introduction of the
ink.
<TIPS>

Although the color tube cleaning can begin even when the remaining volume of maintenance solution in the maintenance
solution pouch is running short, there may be cases where the pouch needs to be replaced with a new one during the cleaning
depending on such remaining volume. If the remaining volume is 500 g (17.6 oz) or less, prepare a new maintenance solution
pouch.
(1) Detach cartridge front cover upon reference to step (18) of "6-1-2. Disassembly / Assembly of covers".
(2) Select [Color Tube Cleaning] from the advanced menu and press


Perform the work operation by following the on-screen instructions.
(3) After making sure that the waste ink tank is filled one-half or less full with waste ink, and press
(4) Take out the target ink cartridge from the printer.
<CAUTION>

The bottom of the cartridge may be soiled with ink. Clean the printer on a regular basis.
