Setting fan mode

Description
Specifies mode for developer fan motors.
Purpose
Handling the lowering density [to suppress thermal stresses owing to the heated toner]
Method
1. Press the start key.
2. Select the mode.

1. Select the mode.

2. Press the start key. The setting is set.
Setting: [Cooling Mode]
1. Change the setting value using the +/- keys.

Cooling Mode
A larger value advances the operating timing, and a smaller value slows it.
2. Press the start key. The value is set.
Display
Sets threshold temperature at which developer fan motors oper-
ate.
Sets temperature at which the developer fan motors are switched
for controlling.
Varies the timing cycle for controlling the fan
Setting temperature: Normal
Setting temperature: Temperature threshold is raised from mode1
(WUP, temperature at READY: mode1 temperature -7(C), Tempera-
ture at PRINT: mode1 temperature -3(C).)
Setting temperature: Temperature threshold is raised from mode2
(WUP, temperature at READY: mode1 temperature -22(C), Temper-
ature at PRINT: mode1 temperature -8(C).)
Starting with Mode 2 at power up or recovery from sleep mode, and
switches to Mode 3 when the thermistor detects a developer temper-
ature BK is equal to or higher than 38C. The device never reverts
from mode 2 from mode 3 while power is on.
