The upper reference can be set to 0.01 MΩ
through 9.99 GΩ (at a resolution of 0.01 MΩ
for the 0.01 MΩ to 9.99 MΩ range, 0.1 MΩ for
the 10.0 MΩ to 99.9 MΩ range, 1 MΩ for the
100 MΩ to 999 MΩ range, and 0.01 GΩ for the
1.00 GΩ to 9.99 GΩ range), but below the max-
imum rated current.
After testing starts and the testing voltage is
reached, if a resistance value at or above the
upper reference is detected, the test ends with a
FAIL judgement.
No upper judgement is made during the volt-

age rise time.
When the cursor is at the upper reference, the rotary knob can be used to make set-
tings.

NOTE
• With both the upper and lower judgement functions on, if the upper reference is
set at or below the lower reference, "READY" disappears and "UP<=LOW"
flashes at the top right of the LCD to indicate that testing cannot be performed.
Raise the upper reference, reduce the lower reference, or turn off the lower judge-
ment function.

Resistance value-based judgment
To display the upper reference, press the F3 key (UPPER). (When the
upper reference is displayed, the cursor can be moved using the
keys.)
You can select resistance value-based judgement or current value-
based judgement by pressing SHIFT+F4.
Pressing SHIFT+F4 causes the currently selected option to switch between
resistance (R) and current (I) and causes the units that are displayed on the
screen to change.
Using the
keys, move the cursor to the target digit.
Using the rotary knob, set the upper reference.
Current value-based judgment
The upper reference can be set to 0.1 µA
through 1.00 mA (at a resolution of 0.1 µA for
the 0.1 µA to 99.9 µA range, 1 µA for the 100
µA to 1.00 mA range).
After testing starts and the judgement wait time
passes, if a current value at or above the upper
reference is detected, the test ends with a FAIL
judgment.
No upper judgement is made until the WAIT
TIME has elapsed
When the upper judgement function is on and
the test voltage setting exceeds 1020 V on
TOS9213AS, the test voltage divided by the
upper reference cannot exceed 0.11 mA. If it
exceeds 0.11 mA, "READY" disappears and
"OVER 0.11 mA" flashes at the top right of
the LCD to notify that testing cannot be per-
formed. In such case, lower the test voltage or
lower the upper reference.
