The discharge time, the amount of time after DC withstanding voltage testing is
completed for which the tester forcibly discharges, can be set to a value between 0.5
and 300 s (in 0.1 s steps from 0.5 to 99.9 and in 1 s steps from 100 to 300 s).
If you set the discharge time to 0.0 s, the tester will continue discharging until the
voltage between the output terminals falls below approximately 30 V. If the voltage
between the output terminals exceeds approximately 30 V even after the specified
discharge time has passed, the tester will continue discharging until the voltage falls
below that value.
When the cursor is to the right of DISCH, settings can be made using the rotary
knob.

NOTE
• Discharging will stop if you press the STOP switch during forced discharge. How-
ever, discharging will not stop if the discharge time has been set to 0.0 s.
WARNING
• When you stop forced discharge, the voltage between the output terminals
may still be at a dangerous level.
