Configuring a PX TrawlEye sensor

You can program the TrawlEye to suit your operational needs or read the configuration it has
with the
PX TrawlEye Configurator
can select the key parameters related to its echosounder, check the battery status or even
configure some special features like the learn mode. The configurator parameters allow you
to set up which measurements the sensor shall make and which communication channels it
shall use for these measurements.
Prerequisites
If configuration is required, the new sensor must be connected to the Processor Unit with a
dedicated interface unit or cable.
In order to read catch monitoring sensor data, you must first connect one or more receiver
units to the Processor Unit.
• The SR15 Receiver Unit supports the PX MultiSensor mk2, PX Universal, PX
MultiCatch and PX TrawlEye sensors.
• The SR70 Receiver Unit supports the PX MultiSensor mk2, PX Universal, PX
MultiCatch and PX TrawlEye sensors.
Context
Catch monitoring sensors are delivered from Kongsberg Maritime AS readily set up with
common default settings. In some cases, you may find that the default parameters do not suit
your operational needs. When required, each individual sensor may be configured to specify
its communication channel and which measurements to make.
Note
The TV80only allows you to configure PX sensors. If you wish to use older sensors (not PX
family), these must be configured using their dedicated applications before you add them.
If your new sensor has already been configured, you do not need to repeat the configuration
process to use it.
