Specific configuration parameters for PX
TrawlEye sensors
The PX TrawlEye provides a real time echogram from the trawl using a wireless link. Its
main operational parameters can be changed to suit your specific needs. You can program
the TrawlEye to suit your operational needs or read the configuration it has with the
TrawlEye Configurator
Description
In order to configure a catch monitoring sensor, it must be connected to the Processor Unit
with a dedicated Configurator cable.
In order to make a decision upon every parameter, we recommend you to get familiar with
the parameters descriptions.
• Vertical resolution
You can control the vertical resolution of the echogram. The vertical resolution of a PX
TrawlEye is related to the number of vertical "pixels" sent from the sensor for each
ping. By default, the value is "High". If you want a 0.5s update rate, you must choose
"Low" vertical solution.
• Range
The
parameter defines how "far" you want the TrawlEye to detect echoes. A better
Range
resolution is achieved using the shorter ranges.
With a trawl opening of 5–6 meters, you should select a 10m or 15m range value.
